Job Description

The Chief Medical Physicist will be responsible for leading all FROS Radiation Oncology Physics services, including those at all centers, and for insuring quality and safety in the delivery of radiation therapy to patients.  He or She will insure that all required quality assurance, inspections, calibrations and verifications are performed, and maintain compliance with radiation regulations including federal, state, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program.  The Chief Medical Physicist will provide leadership and supervision to members of the physics and dosimetry staff, as well as provide physics support to FROS Radiation Oncology trial activities.  The Chief Medical Physicist will guide the future growth of FROS Radiation Oncology Cyberknife Center Physics program and provide leadership in technology evaluation, staging and implementation.  

Education, Experience, Certification and Licensure:

1.  Graduate degree in Medical Physics required

2.  Minimum of 5 years of experience required

3.  Management or Leadership experience preferred

4.  Cyberknife experience preferred

5.  Certification of American Board of Radiology
